After you make initial contact with Premier Van Lines International, we will send you an estimator in a spreadsheet form in an email that will allow you list the items that you intend to ship. It will automatically calculate the estimated weight and volume of your shipment and you can send the completed spreadsheet back to us via email. We will then quote you based on the estimated volume and weight of the shipment. Please bear in mind that the average weight of a shipment is around 7 pounds per cubic feet.

You can also send us a list of the items you would like to ship and we will be able to insert the items into the estimator and quote you accordingly.

Once you fill out the estimator, we will send you a quote based on the results for your review. To obtain the estimated pounds, we typically take the average cubic feet of the specific household item listed and then multiply that by 7 to determine the estimated pounds. For example, a small kitchen table has an average of 5 cubic feet and you multiply that by 7, you get 35 estimated pounds for that table. With that in mind, if you decide to add or subtract household items, you can determine the weight and volume by using the formula given above.
With your survey results, we look at all three estimated factors: weight, cubic feet and number of items. We will then tell you the appropriate shipping equipment along with the antiicpated weight and number of items.
Please remember that the survey is just an indicator, not absolute; however, if you follow these guidelines, you should be close to your anticipated shipment size and more importantly, your budget.
